Commissioner: in Kherson, looted by occupiers, racists call on citizens to collaborate with enemy

In Kherson, the russian occupiers are distributing leaflets calling for collaboration with the enemy and blaming the Ukrainians themselves and their chosen government for the aggression.

Through propaganda materials, the rashists are trying to convince civilians that russia is acting "for the benefit of Ukrainians."

The real picture of the "russian benefit" is the satellite images of Planet Lab, which show that at least 824 new graves appeared in the Kherson city cemetery during the occupation.

Shops, offices and people's homes are being looted by russian looters, they tortured and looted  activists, former members of the Anti-Terrorist Operation / Environmental Protection, and law enforcement officers.

The invaders did not allow humanitarian goods into the region, and looted property, food, agricultural machinery and equipment sent to the temporarily occupied Crimean peninsula.

Terror, ill-treatment and killing of civilians in the occupied territories is a war crime under the Statute of the International Military Tribunal and the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, and a violation of the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War.

I appeal to the UN Commission for Investigation Human Rights Violations during the Russian Invasion of Ukraine to take into account these facts of war crimes and human rights violations of the Russian Federation in Ukraine.
