International humanitarian law prohibits forced mobilization. Article 51 IV of the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War prohibits the occupying Power from forcing persons under protection, ie those under the control of a party to the conflict or an occupying State of which they are not nationals, to serve in its armed forces or auxiliary forces.
I appeal to the world community to increase sanctions on the Russian Federation to end hostilities in Ukraine and torture the Ukrainian people.
