Commissioner: Rashist armed forces fire prohibited phosphorous bombs on peaceful cities

Rashist forces are shelling peaceful cities with banned phosphorus bombs.

At night, shells with phosphorous munitions hit the town of Popasna in the Luhansk region.

Such shells contain an incendiary compound with a combustion temperature exceeding 800 ° C, which spreads over an area of   several hundred square meters.

The lesion can cause particularly severe and painful injuries or provoke a slow and painful death.  The treatment of these injuries requires specially trained medical personnel, who may also receive phosphorus wounds while working.

The use of phosphate munitions against civilians is strictly prohibited by Protocol III to the Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons Which May Be Deemed to Be Excessively Damage or Indiscriminate.

The shelling of a peaceful city by russian invaders with such weapons is a war crime and a crime against humanity under the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court and should be taken into account in the International Criminal Court's genocide case against the Ukrainian people.

I appeal to the UN member states to speed up the establishment of a Special Tribunal to punish the crime of aggression against Ukraine.  No crime of the leadership of the terrorist state of the Russian Federation and its racist troops should go unpunished.
