Commissioner: in Severodonetsk, the enemy is deliberately hitting places of gathering of civilians

Severodonetsk is under heavy Russian fire all day around. As a result of yesterday's shelling in the city, six people were killed and eight were injured.

The day before, the occupiers fired on the Azot enterprise, which has several bomb shelters and civilians.

The intensity of shelling in Luhansk region is growing every day. The enemy is deliberately beating down crowded civilians

The killing of civilians and the shelling of cities and non-military facilities are war crimes and crimes against humanity under Articles 7 and 8 of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court and gross violations of the four Geneva Conventions of 1949 and their Additional Protocols.

I appeal to the UN Commission for Investigation Human Rights Violations during the russian military invasion of Ukraine to take into account these facts of crimes and human rights violations in Ukraine.

I call on international partners to provide weapons to fight the aggressor country of russia!
