Russian invaders are drowning the civilian population of the Kherson region in terror and suffering

Forest fires are raging near the villages of Heroyske and Ivanivka.  But russian soldiers forbid them to put out.  The lives of peasants are in danger.

On May 2, the head of the State Agency of Forest Resources of Ukraine Yuriy Bolokhovets reported that fires were recorded on more than 800 hectares of forest in the occupied territory of Kherson region.

The occupiers did not allow the forest guards to approach the fire sites until the fire reached their checkpoints.  Bolokhovets reported that the fire was localized, but communication with workers on the spot disappeared.

Rashists in Kherson region force entrepreneurs to obtain "temporary permits" to work, in case of refusal - confiscation

Representatives of the occupation administrations in the Kherson region are touring industrial facilities.  First of all - food producers in order to force management and staff to cooperate.  Armed Russian militants travel to the offices of commercial companies and in the ultimate form demand continued production.

To do this, according to the racists, it is necessary to "officially" formalize their activities under Russian rules and obtain a "temporary permit" to work from the "civilian military administration".

The owners and employees of the enterprises are warned that in case of termination of work or violation of any requirements of the russians, the management and staff will be changed.  The new owners and employees will be determined by the occupation administrations from among people loyal to them.

Terror and ill-treatment of civilians in the occupied territories is a war crime under the Statute of the International Military Tribunal and the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, and a violation of the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War.

I appeal to the UN Commission for Investigation Human Rights Violations during the Russian Military Invasion of Ukraine to take into account these facts of crimes and human rights violations in Ukraine.
