Russia violates the rights of Ukrainian wounded servicemen to access medical care

About 600 wounded Ukrainian servicemen remain in extremely difficult conditions at Azovstal.

In one room there are several dozen bunk beds, the other wounded are lying on the floor in complete unsanitary conditions.

Too many people die because they are unable to receive medical care.  There are no more medicines.  There is almost no food and water left.  The hospital uses water that is drained from the heating system.

The aggressor is trying to storm the territory of Azovstal, constantly firing from all kinds of weapons: using air bombs, heavy artillery, tanks.

Russia grossly violates the rights of wounded soldiers to life and medical care guaranteed by the Hague and Geneva Conventions.

Russia grossly violates Article 12 of the Convention for the Amelioration of the Condition of the Wounded and Sick in Armed Forces of 12 August 1949.

I appeal to the UN Commission to Investigate Human Rights Violations during the Russian military invasion of Ukraine to take into account these facts of human rights violations in Ukraine.
