In the Kharkiv region on the morning of May 1, 2022, the russian military shelled villages in the Bohodukhiv district. The shelling in the village of Udy damaged two houses, a school and a car carrying three people. Two of them were injured, the woman died on the spot. In the village of Baranivka, farm buildings were destroyed.
Russian servicemen fired artillery at the village of Odnorobivka in the Bohodukhiv district. A 27-year-old man was injured. Dwelling house and farm premises were damaged.
The army of the aggressor country fired on the village of Zolochiv, Bohodukhiv district. A man died as a result of the shelling. Twelve houses and a number of outbuildings were damaged.
Three people were killed and three wounded by the russian army in Luhansk region, among the victims - a minor.
At least 12 houses were destroyed in Orikhovo and four in Gorsky. In Lysychansk, an old building of a multidisciplinary gymnasium, which is part of the Belgian heritage of the city, burned down, and several houses were damaged. There are six high-rise buildings in Severodonetsk, five of which are located next to each other.
In total, on May 1, the towns and villages of Luhansk region suffered 18 times from enemy shelling. Only the destruction of 28 houses has been officially recorded.
On May 1, 4 civilians were killed in russian shelling in the Donetsk region, all in the Lyman. Eleven other people were injured: 7 in Lyman, 3 in Volodymyrivka and 1 in Yarova.
In the Dnipropetrovsk region in the Synelnykivskyi district, a rocket hit the warehouses of agricultural enterprises. One is empty, the other with grain. They are destroyed.
On Sunday night the russian occupying forces once again carried out shelling of suburbs of the city of Nikolaev, in yards of civilians the cluster munitions from MLRS "Hurricane" broke.
The killing of civilians, shelling of civilian cities and civilian objects by the aggressor army is war crimes and crimes against humanity under Articles 7 and 8 of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court and gross violation of the four Geneva Conventions of 1949 and its Additional Protocols.
I call on the UN Commission for Investigation Human Rights Violations during Russia's Military Invasion of Ukraine to take into account these facts of war crimes and human rights violations in Ukraine.
I call on international partners to provide weapons to fight the aggressor country of Russia!
