The rashist continue to abduct civilians in the temporarily occupied territories for their pro-Ukrainian stance

In Melitopol, the occupiers captured Alice  Dorokhov, acting director of the Melitopol Multidisciplinary Center for Vocational Education.

Since the beginning of the war, on the basis of the school, the woman has organized a Heart to Heart Aid Center, which was the only Ukrainian humanitarian headquarters in the city to help Melitopol residents and migrants from Mariupol.

At the center, people could get food, basic necessities, medicine, and volunteers formed a package for single and bedridden patients.

By kidnapping activists, the occupiers are trying to break the will and resistance of the local population, and as a result - to instill power of terror and fear.

The taking of civilian hostages is a direct violation of Articles 3 and 34 of the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War, Article 9 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and Article 5 of the European Convention on Human Rights.

Such acts are nothing but terrorism under the Council of Europe Convention on the Prevention of Terrorism and War Crimes under Article 8 of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.

I appeal to the UN Commission for Investigation Human Rights Violations during the russian Military Invasion of Ukraine to take into account these facts of human rights violations in Ukraine.
