The Commissioner met with a delegation from the non-governmental human rights organization Amnesty International

Had a meeting with a delegation from the human rights NGO Amnesty International, led by its Secretary-General, Agnes Kallamar.

Thanked Amnesty International for disclosing the documented facts of russian military attacks on civilians in Ukraine, which are war crimes and crimes against humanity.

I informed international human rights activists about my work on documenting human rights violations by the russian aggressor in Ukraine, methods and sources of obtaining information from our citizens, its processing and classification.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, we have been working with the team 24/7.  During this period, the Commissioner's 24-hour hotline has already received 33,000 calls from citizens.  Almost 700 calls were received on the phone of the special line of psychological support, which was launched jointly with UNICEF.

Said that in order to record war crimes, I personally visited Bucha, Irpin, and Chernihiv, which had been liberated from the russian occupiers.

Amnesty International colleagues noted the importance of the Commissioner's work on objective documentation of violations of international humanitarian law and war crimes.

It was agreed to exchange information for the detailed recording of war crimes and bring them to the attention of the international community, so that no criminal escapes fair responsibility.
