Held a meeting with Valeria Valente, Senator of the Italian Parliament and Chair of the Parliamentary Commission for the Investigation of Femicide Crimes and All Forms of Gender-Based Violence

I said that since the beginning of the full-scale military invasion, the work of my office in all regions has been focused on recording russian crimes in Ukraine.

Information on them is prepared in accordance with UN protocols and provided to the ISS and investigative bodies.

I receive information from interviews with citizens evacuated from the temporarily occupied territories and released Ukrainian prisoners of war.

On the phone of the round-the-clock hotline of the Commissioner 42 thousand citizens reported about crimes of the russian federation against 83 thousand.  1025 only for the last day.

The weapons that russia uses against Ukraine are rape: women, girls, men, the elderly.  From several months of children to 78 years.

The perpetrators are young men aged 20-25, a generation of putin's propaganda.

Ukrainians are being deported en masse to russia by "filtration camps" and interrogated in the most remote regions of russia.  Without documents and means of subsistence.

The deportation was carefully and pre-planned, which is why I have documentary evidence.  2 million of our people are going to be deported, 1.3 million have already been deported.

russia commits genocide of the Ukrainian people.  It is possible to stop all this only by providing weapons to Ukraine.  To restore the legally recognized borders of our state.

I am grateful to Italy, its parliament, and the government for their categorical rejection of russia's actions in Ukraine, for supporting us in the struggle for independence and sovereignty, and for helping asylum seekers.

The senator stressed that Italy is closely monitoring russia's crimes in Ukraine and crimes against women.

Italy will support Ukraine in this war.  In addition, what is being provided now will raise awareness in the country and the world, because the more people know about the crimes, the more likely it is that it will stop and will not happen again.

Ms. Valeria Valente noted the support of me and the Ukrainian people in our quest to find and prosecute russian criminals.  This is a struggle not only against feminicide, it is a struggle for the dignity of the citizens of Ukraine.

Italy is in solidarity with us in the desire that such crimes do not take place in Ukraine and other countries.

We will continue to work together to win and establish justice!
