In the Kherson region, in one of the villages, the occupiers forcibly evicted all residents

In the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region in the urban-type settlement of Velyka Oleksandrivka, the occupiers are forcing the local population to leave their homes by April 28.

Forced evacuation will be applied to residents who do not comply with the criminal order of the rashists.

By evicting Ukrainian citizens from their homes, the occupying country violates international law, according to which the right to housing is one of the most important socio-economic rights of citizens.

Article 10 of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights and Article 12 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights provide that the right to housing must be exercised subject to the free choice of residence.

I appeal to the UN Commission for Investigation Human Rights Violations during Russia's military invasion of Ukraine to take into account these facts of war crimes and human rights violations in Ukraine.
