Representatives of the Commissioner met in Poland with the EU Special Representative for Human Rights

A working meeting of my representatives in the northern and western regions with the EU Special Representative for Human Rights, Amon Gilmore, took place in Przemyśl, Poland.

They visited Ukrainian refugees, who are located at the city's railway station and in one of the largest HUBs (3,000 beds).

During the meeting, they discussed the humanitarian situation in Ukraine and the complete disregard for international law by the occupiers.

Mr. Gilmore expressed support for the Ukrainian people and our team.

During our previous online meeting, the EU Special Representative noted that he would take steps to ensure the protection of human rights in Ukraine and to facilitate the work of the Commissioner Office.

Yesterday, he donated 20 mobile phones to provide humanitarian work to the Commissioner's hotline.

Since the beginning of the Russian military invasion of Ukraine, it has been operating 24/7, with more than 30 operators involved.  Every day there are about 1,000 calls for evacuation, humanitarian aid, medicine, and the search for relatives.

I thank Aimon Gilmore for this support.

Together we will do everything possible to protect human rights in Ukraine during the war and after the victory!
