Conclusions on the Report of Mr. Gérard Stoudmann following results of his visit to Crimea have been sent to the Secretary General of the Council of Europe Mr. Thorbjørn Jagland

The Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Ms. Valeriya Lutkovska has submitted a letter to the Secretary General of the Council of Europe Mr. Thorbjørn Jagland that contains conclusions following the results of discussion of the Report prepared by Ambassador Mr. Gérard Stoudmannafter his visit to the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

The Commissioner for Human Rights has informed Mr. Thorbjørn Jagland that the Report following the results of work of the special mission in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea under the leadership of Mr. Gérard Stoudmann has caused an ambiguous assessment on behalf of Ukrainian human rights activists.

Provisions of the mentioned Report have been analyzed in details during the round table "Two years of occupation of Crimea: the analysis of the human rights situation". Following its results the project of conclusions has been prepared by Ukrainian human rights activists who carry out continuous monitoring of the observance of human rights in Crimea.

"I would like to express my entire support to your further efforts aimed at ensuring the presence of the Council of Europe human rights institutions in the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea in order to monitor the human rights situation on the peninsula as well as my willingness to work together in this field", – it is said in the letter of Ms. Valeriya Lutkovska.
