Yesterday, on December 26, 2016, the two-stage joint visit of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Ms.Valeriya Lutkovska and the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Ms.Tatyana Moskalkova was held: firstly to the Simferopol pre-trial detention center, then – to the Mykolayiv pre-trial detention center.

While conducting monitoring of observance of the principle of nondiscrimination in all spheres of the public relations the resonant event – defilement of the synagogue located near a grave of Rabi Nakhman in the City of Uman of the Cherkassy Region became a subject of attention of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights.

The Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights expressed such belief during the presentation of a joint initiative of the Ukrainian Helsinki union of human rights (UHUHR) and Ombudsman's Office "Human rights passportization of regions".

It was declared by the Representative of the Commissioner for observance of the rights of the child, nondiscrimination and gender equality during the ceremony of awards presentation to winners of All-Ukrainian competition of student's essays "Human rights through a prism of modernity" and All-Ukrainian competition of educational and methodical inventions on human rights which was held in the Secretariat of the Commissioner.
