Ms. Aksana Filipishyna: "The attitude towards issues of gender equality and their mass media coverage demand special attention of journalists"
The Representative of the Commissioner for observance of the rights of the child, non-discrimination and gender equality Ms. Aksana Filipishyna declared this thesis during a round table "Women and mass media", organized by Institute of mass information within campaign for promotion of the European ethical standards in the Ukrainian mass media.

On December 4, 2014 the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights will deliver a speech in Brussels during hearings: "Human rights and a situation with minorities in Ukraine with special attention to the Crimea", which are held by the Subcommittee on human rights of the European Parliament.

Ms. Valeriya Lutkovska applied to the Prime minister of Ukraine and made a submission to the Head of Donetsk State Region Administration concerning violation of the rights of inhabitants of the Telmanovsky district of Donetsk Region
Within parliamentary control of observance of constitutional rights and freedoms of the person and the citizen with assistance of the UN Development Program, employees of the Secretariat of the Commissioner together with public organizations carry out monitoring of places of compact placement of citizens of Ukraine who are moved from temporarily occupied territories and regions of carrying out anti-terrorist operation.

The Representative of the Commissioner for observance of the rights of children, non-discrimination and gender equality declared this thesis delivering a speech at the round table "Protection of the rights of children with disability" which was held at the initiative of the Commissioner for Human Rights with assistance of Representation of UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Ukraine and was dedicated to the International day of disabled people and the 25 anniversary of adoption of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
