The ENOC 20th Annual conference "Equal Opportunities for All Children in Education" was held

On September 20-21, 2016 in Vilnius (Lithuania) the 20th Annual conference of the European network of Ombudspersons for Children (ENOC) "Equal opportunities for all children in education" was held, the Representative of the Commissioner for the rights of the child, non-discrimination and gender equality Ms. Aksana Filipishyna and the Head of the Secretariat of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Mr. Bogdan Kryklvenko took part in it. Today, on September 22, within mentioned conference ENOC holds the 20th session of the General Assembly.

Monitoring of the Novomikhaylovsky inpatient department of the Maryinsky regional territorial center was held

On September 13, 2016 within a working trip to areas of settlements Maryinka and Krasnohorivka of Donetsk Region the monitoring group as a part of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Ms. Valeriya Lutkovska and employees of the Secretariat of the Commissioner carried out a monitoring visit to Novomikhaylovsky inpatient department of full-time residence of the territorial center of social service and providing social services of Maryinsky district.

Ms. Valeriya Lutkovska carried out monitoring of observance of constitutional rights and freedoms of the military personnel of Armed Forces of Ukraine which are involved in anti-terrorist operation

For the purpose of civil control over observance of social and economic and humanitarian rights of the military personnel, and also appropriate comprehensive providing the staff which is involved in anti-terrorist operation, on September 13, 2016 near settlements Maryinka, Krasnohorivka of Donetsk Region the monitoring group headed by the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights verified a state of food, ware, cash and medical support, and also living conditions in divisions of the 10th separate mountain and assault brigade.

Upon representation of the Commissioner the Constitutional Court of Ukraine recognized the provision of the law of Ukraine "On freedom of worship and religious organizations" as unconstitutional

Today, on September 13, at 11:00 the Constitutional Court of Ukraine officially published the decision in case upon the constitutional submission of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights concerning compliance to the Constitution of Ukraine (constitutionality) of provisions of the fifth part of article 21 of the Law of Ukraine "On freedom of worship and the religious organizations" (case of the preliminary notice concerning holding of public church services, religious practices, ceremonies and processions), having recognized the mentioned provision of the law as unconstitutional.
