Human rights activists presented the report concerning crimes against humanity during Euromaidan

Result of the crimes against humanity committed during Euromaidan in November, 2013 – February, 2014, was a murder of, at least, 114 people from whom 94 were activists of Euromaidan, detention for various terms of at least several hundred people, infliction of bodily injury to more than one thousand activists, the destiny of at least 27 missing is still unknown.

For public discussion: The concept of the draft law concerning improvement of separate provisions of acts in the sphere of access to public information

For the purpose of public discussion on the official website of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights in the section "The Right to Information — Analytical Materials" the Concept of the draft law concerning improvement of separate provisions of acts in the sphere of access to public information prepared with assistance of a joint program of the European Union and the Council of Europe "Strengthening of information society in Ukraine", and also the project of the Council of Europe and the Government of Canada "Introduction of the European standards in Ukrainian media environment" is placed.

Ms. Valeriya Lutkovska: "The delaying with evacuation of vulnerable categories of persons threatens their life"

As it has already informed, on February 9 Ms. Valeriya Lutkovska repeatedly applied to the Prime minister of Ukraine Mr. Arseniy Yatsenyuk to undertake immediate measures for evacuation of wards and the personnel of establishments of an education system, health care and social protection from the territories close to carrying out anti-terrorist operation, to safe regions of Ukraine. Ombudsman emphasized that exactly these categories of the population are in the most difficult situation today.

The Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights declared this thesis during a round table "Implementation of the Law of Ukraine "On access to public information": the international obligations, the current challenges and legislative initiatives", organized within a joint program of the Council of Europe and the European Union "Strengthening of information society in Ukraine", and also the project of the Council of Europe and the Government of Canada "Introduction of the European standards in the Ukrainian media environment".
